This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies aimed at increasing revenue annually within designated communities.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with volunteers, donors, local businesses, sponsors, and community stakeholders.

• Collaborate with volunteer committees to organize and execute fundraising events and initiatives.

• Partner with the Regional Director and internal teams to establish territory priorities, milestones, and metrics for success.

• Recruit, support, and energize volunteer leaders.

• Act as the Foundation’s principal community representative, disseminating resources, raising awareness, and communicating scientific advancements.

• Utilize the donor database to monitor engagement, evaluate giving potential, enhance outreach, and guide fundraising strategies.

• Customize approaches based on the unique strengths and needs of each community.

• Oversee community materials and resources for events and local engagement efforts.

• Acquire a solid scientific understanding to articulate the Foundation’s mission and its impact on individuals and families.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in fundraising, community engagement, development, volunteer management, or a similar nonprofit position.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets through individual contributions, corporate sponsorships, peer-to-peer fundraising, or event-driven fundraising.

• Exceptional ability to build relationships with volunteers, donors, community partners, and local businesses.

• Experience in recruiting, supporting, and collaborating with volunteer leaders, committees, or chapter-based volunteers.

• Comfortable serving as a prominent, public-facing representative of the community.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities, stakeholders, and events within a specified territory.

• Familiarity with donor databases or CRMs such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or comparable systems.

• Strong and empathetic communication skills for conveying complex information clearly.

• Capability to work independently while also collaborating with internal teams in a remote setting.

• Openness to learning and communicating scientific or technical information at a sophisticated level.

• Willingness to undertake regular regional travel and participate in occasional evening or weekend events.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Zoom, databases, and calendar management.

• Experience with chapter-based or volunteer-led networks is preferred.
