This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Identify and develop strategic accounts while uncovering new or untapped opportunities within hospitals and healthcare systems.
• Generate profitable revenue by crafting and delivering solutions that enhance both customer and patient experiences.
• Assess account goals, objectives, strategies, and competitive landscapes.
• Establish and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, VP-level administrators, and department heads.
• Broaden business prospects and enhance access for Merz Therapeutics brands.
• Recognize external experts in regional and national healthcare systems and provide valuable insights to the organization.
• Analyze sales and market trends to pinpoint future business opportunities.
• Present and advocate for Merz Therapeutics products for approved indications utilizing a consultative selling approach.
• Conduct total office visits, hospital selling, customer detailing, and product sampling.
• Create, maintain, and implement a territory business and action plan.
• Keep abreast of product knowledge, disease states, market data, and marketplace dynamics.
• Utilize a Sales Force Automation System to manage customer data effectively.
• Adapt customer- and territory-specific selling strategies based on marketing data.
• Foster local advocacy relationships and engage in sales meetings and workshops.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Managed Markets, National Account Directors, Reimbursement Access Managers, and Key Account Directors.
• Navigate the complexities of managed care, specialty pharmacy, Medicare Part B, and state Medicaid reimbursement environments.
• Ensure promotional and commercial compliance, fulfill administrative requirements, and allocate territory resources based on return on investment.
• Exemplify the values and operational norms of Merz Therapeutics.
• Must reside in the Oklahoma City, OK area.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in specialty sales.
• Preferred background in pharmaceutical or biotech sales.
• Bachelor’s degree is required at a minimum.
• Experience with buy-and-bill injectables is preferred.
• Previous hospital sales experience is preferred.
• Preferred experience in neurology.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales management objectives.
• Willingness to travel 40–70% with minimal overnight stays.
• Familiarity with managed care, specialty pharmacy, Medicare Part B, and state Medicaid selling and reimbursement environments.
• Ability to adhere to Merz Therapeutics promotional and commercial policies.
• Maintain a professional, compliant, and ethical demeanor during customer engagements.
• 40–70% travel role with minimal overnight stays.
