This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Identify and generate new business while sustaining existing relationships with OEMs.
• Cultivate successful partnerships with internal teams and customer cross-functional groups, including engineering, procurement, quality, product design, and senior management.
• Assess current and future customer requirements, encompassing product/technology roadmaps, demand forecasts, and quality assurance protocols.
• Advocate for customer needs within the Robotics and Automation division.
• Achieve bookings, revenue goals, and strategic targets for the designated territory.
• Develop and revise territory and action plans.
• Propel the sales process through effective Call, Opportunity, Account, and Territory Management.
• Pursue sales leads and potential client opportunities.
• Provide regular, precise, and comprehensive regional forecasts and reports.
• Manage contract negotiations with both new and existing clients.
• Build relationships with other Novanta sales teams in the region.
• Ensure complete, accurate, timely, and compliant data is maintained in Salesforce CRM.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).
• Extensive technical expertise in mechatronic components with a minimum of 5 years in Sales.
• Proficiency in encoder, motors, and controls technology is essential.
• Market expertise in at least two of the following sectors for over two years: Robotics, Medical Robotics, Semiconductor, Metrology, and Satellite Communication.
• Proven multi-year success in customer management with OEMs and in long cycle qualifications where pre- and post-sales services are crucial to the customer value proposition.
• Capable of driving, implementing, and continuously enhancing a structured sales process that includes lead generation, pipeline management, and forecasting.
• Experienced CRM user.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Must hold a valid passport and be capable of international travel, if necessary.
