Senior Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Lead the NJ Operations team while overseeing Gordian's business interests in New Jersey.

• Develop and maintain detailed schedules of activities to meet procurement goals within designated timeframes for clients.

• Enforce and follow project procedures from initial identification through construction execution for various Job Orders.

• Aid in the development and evaluation of project scope of work.

• Analyze proposals and ensure compliance with contracts from notice to proceed through to construction execution.

• Interpret and comprehend construction plans and specifications.

• Conduct thorough reviews of price proposals and create as well as evaluate detailed construction line item proposals.

• Train contractors on Gordian software and client-specific procedures.

• Support client contract bidding processes.

• Liaise with clients and internal team members to guarantee that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

• Provide strategic insights to the Regional Director regarding Gordian's New Jersey clientele and evolving market conditions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 15 years of experience in construction procurement, construction management, or general contracting.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in commercial public construction operations, pricing, and contracting, including scope development and estimating/price proposal preparation.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to effectively manage multiple projects in development and in the field at the same time.

• Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.

• Adaptable, strategic thinker with problem-solving skills, goal-oriented, client-focused, capable of delivering results, meeting client and corporate deadlines, proficient in time management, self-motivated, and able to work well both independently and in a team environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, with the ability to create and generate custom tracking documents and reports.

• Experience with Job Order Contracting or IDIQ is preferred but not mandatory.

• Thorough understanding of various public procurement methods and project delivery requirements.

• Willingness to travel 50-70% within the designated geographic area.
