Temporary Course Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the learning process for students enrolled in the online Master of Health Care Innovation courses.

• Deliver constructive and timely feedback on assignments and assess work using a rubric for a maximum of 20 students, ensuring a turnaround of 5 days or less.

• Offer support to students via email, with responses provided within 24 hours or sooner.

• Engage in both synchronous and asynchronous interactions between faculty and students.

• Recognize student needs and escalate critical issues as necessary.

• Provide feedback to the MEHP Online team regarding teaching and learning experiences.

• Contribute to brief course development initiatives, which may involve drafting and reviewing quizzes and assessments or evaluating course materials for quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in roles associated with health care.

• Strong content knowledge in health care, health policy, innovation, or a closely related discipline.

• Capability and availability to offer meaningful and prompt feedback on student submissions.

• Proficient communication skills, with the ability to interact promptly, professionally, and respectfully via Slack, email, and other required tools.

• A willingness to learn and enhance pedagogical skills.

• Ability to work remotely while closely coordinating with a team.

• A background check may be necessary following a conditional job offer.

• Preferred qualifications include pedagogical experience, proofreading skills, and familiarity with Canvas LMS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

• This position is contingent on continued funding.
