This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of both internal and external communications.
• Develop targeted messaging for various audiences including staff, faculty, students, alumni, and other stakeholders.
• Produce content for social media, digital assets, newsletters, posts, and other communication materials.
• Organize and monitor internal and external communications in accordance with established protocols.
• Manage and prioritize projects effectively while adhering to tight deadlines and graphic design standards.
• Craft and refine clear, persuasive copy for web-based communication, print, and marketing materials.
• Ensure all deliverables are consistent with brand messaging, research, insights, style, quality, and tone.
• Utilize software to generate original content for newsletters and social media platforms.
• Design graphics for newsletters, social media posts, and additional communication channels.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to grasp objectives and offer insights, recommendations, and solutions.
• Establish communication channels, frequency, and guidelines that align with communication protocols.
• Carry out other assigned duties as necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, English, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in communications, media production, and social media is essential.
• Excellent writing and communication skills are a must.
• Capability to contribute as an active team member and work towards shared goals.
• Proven ability to achieve communications objectives effectively.
• Capacity to generate new insights, challenge conventional methods, inspire new ideas, and develop and implement new materials and processes.
• Ability to identify or create imaginative and creative solutions.
• Familiarity with current best practices for disseminating information and developing communication processes within a complex organizational structure.
• Proficiency in identifying and crafting content that reflects institutional messaging priorities.
• Knowledge of project management concepts is advantageous; highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills, including supporting events and campaigns and assessing outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with or the ability to learn platforms like Salesforce, iModules, Canva, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with a diverse range of colleagues.
• Exceptional and adaptable writing skills tailored for various audiences.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within diverse teams in a dynamic environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
