This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the creation and execution of communication campaigns.
• Compose press releases, media advisories, reporter pitches, op-eds, and various other materials.
• Monitor news coverage pertaining to climate and energy topics.
• Generate media reports that analyze narrative trends, emerging risks, and potential opportunities.
• Provide insights and briefings on message testing, polling, and research outcomes.
• Collaborate with teams within Earthjustice’s communications department.
• Work in partnership with coalitions and legal specialists.
• Operate under the guidance of the Public Affairs & Communications Team Manager.
• Must be enrolled in a college or university program as a sophomore, junior, or senior during the spring of 2027.
• Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
• Comfortable navigating and adapting to new tools.
• Strong skills in both written and verbal communication.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven dedication to Earthjustice’s core values of Justice, Excellence, Inclusion, and Partnership.
• Availability to commit to 15–18 hours per week.
• Submission of a resume, one-page cover letter, proof of enrollment, and a 1–3-page writing sample is required.
• Final candidates must provide 2 references.
• This position is paid.
• Hourly wage of $19.61 for undergraduate students.
