This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create concise and actionable creative and technical briefs based on stakeholder requirements.

• Constructively address unclear, conflicting, or unscoped requests.

• Establish project success criteria in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Incorporate project objectives into design and content strategies.

• Plan and implement communications projects effectively.

• Identify skill gaps and engage web development agencies or freelancers as needed.

• Manage the onboarding process for agencies and contractors.

• Set quality standards and oversee quality assurance processes.

• Evaluate deliverables against briefs, brand guidelines, and WCAG accessibility standards.

• Conduct structured review rounds and ensure the final quality is upheld prior to launch.

• Conceptualize and create digital products that align with FLI's mission and organizational goals.

• Execute multi-month special projects, including international creative contests, from start to finish.

• Ensure design-system and brand consistency with the website development agency.

• Lead design and digital projects from the initial scoping phase to completion.

• Report directly to the Director of Communications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Located in a timezone between the West Coast, USA and the UK (UTC-8 to UTC+1).

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

• Capable of managing competing priorities and gaining alignment from senior colleagues.

• Proven history of developing or significantly enhancing delivery processes, including intake, review, QA, or approval workflows.

• Experience in project management within design, communications, and/or digital/web projects.

• Genuine enthusiasm for FLI's mission and related issues.

• Strong quality instincts with the confidence to reject subpar deliverables.

• Ideally, a portfolio showcasing quality-assured shipped work.

• Composed under deadline pressure; able to say no and suggest alternatives.

• Preferred: experience managing participatory or multi-stakeholder projects, such as contests, awards, grant rounds, or festivals.

• Preferred: knowledge of website delivery, CMS platforms, and technical proficiency to address issues and communicate with developers.

• Preferred: understanding of SEO, digital audience growth, GA4, Search Console, analytics, and the fundamentals of technical and on-page SEO.

• Preferred: experience in nonprofit, policy, advocacy, or campaign work.
