Teletherapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.

📋 Description

• Deliver mental health services, encompassing intake, therapy, and counseling.

• Conduct video-based behavioral health evaluations.

• Assist in de-escalation and stabilization efforts.

• Gather collateral information via phone or video.

• Examine psychological and psychosocial elements of individual relationships.

• Provide documented suggestions for the subsequent level of assessment or care.

• Ensure accurate documentation in the partner site’s electronic medical records (EMR).

• Foster a therapeutic and secure environment.

• Offer observational feedback within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Maintain all necessary certifications and licenses.

• Deliver remote services to patients seeking care from an Alaskan Tribal Health Organization throughout their lifespan.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid therapy license in Alaska; acceptable licenses include LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMSW.

• Current state license that permits independent practice.

• 1–3 years of experience following the acquisition of an unrestricted license.

• Proficient to advanced technological skills.

• A well-established and updated CAQH profile is highly preferred.

• Experience in culturally responsive practices with tribal communities and individuals impacted by trauma.

• Knowledge of intergenerational trauma, substance use, and suicide risk in Native American populations.

• Training or certification in TF-CBT or EMDR is preferred.

• A private office space at home or another location to ensure confidentiality.

• Capable of obtaining additional state licenses and DEA licenses as needed.

• Must be a resident of the United States and legally eligible for employment.
