Telehealth Registered Dietitian, Obesity Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth visits.

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy for obesity and associated chronic conditions.

• Create personalized nutrition care plans.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change strategies.

• Facilitate patient engagement through effective communication.

• Raise clinical concerns when necessary.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.

• Engage in care planning and case reviews as required.

• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools proficiently.

• Contribute to the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and innovative interdisciplinary care as the organization expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current RD/RDN credential in good standing.

• Valid LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the state(s) of practice.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related discipline.

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or Medical Nutrition Therapy (mandatory).

• Experience in obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred).

• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficient with EHRs and telehealth platforms.

• Reliable internet connection and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.

• Capacity to uphold licensure standards and maintain HIPAA compliance.
