Telehealth Provider – Urgent Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Gather detailed histories of current illnesses.

• Review and acquire past medical, social, and family histories, along with a review of systems.

• Consult and provide care to patients through virtual phone and/or video telehealth sessions.

• Deliver clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic telehealth medical services alongside related administrative tasks.

• Order and interpret laboratory and radiologic tests as necessary.

• Collect records and pertinent data during patient assessments.

• Create systematic care plans based on clinical evaluations and evidence-based medical guidelines.

• Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers when appropriate.

• Refer patients to suitable specialists when required.

• Provide treatment exclusively within the Yale New Haven Health network.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a valid license in Connecticut; additional licenses in New York and Massachusetts are preferred.

• Possession of a Controlled Substance Registration.

• Federal DEA Registration is required.

• Board Certification is mandatory.

• Certification in PALS and ACLS is essential.

• Prior telemedicine experience is necessary.

• Candidates must reside in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or New York.

• Must be available for weekend and evening shifts.

• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

• A solid understanding of urgent-care disease states across all age groups, including chest pain and cardiac issues, allergic reactions, fractures and sprains, upper respiratory infections, asthma and COPD, headaches, rashes and skin infections, as well as eye infections and injuries.
