Telehealth Mental Health Physician, MD/DO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments through telehealth services.

• Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, medications, and pertinent background information.

• Identify and treat conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and OCD.

• Create and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in line with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

• Educate patients about their treatment plans, medication administration, and follow-up care.

• Ensure timely and precise clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Complete chart notes and prescriptions within the stipulated deadlines.

• Work collaboratively with clinical and operations teams to enhance patient care and ensure continuity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certified Physician (MD/DO) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

• Possession of an active and unrestricted medical license; multi-state licensing is preferred.

• Current DEA registration.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health treatment.

• Experience in prescribing controlled substances.

• Strong clinical judgment skills.

• Ability to manage common outpatient psychiatric conditions with ease.

• Availability to work at least ~15 hours per week, with a preference for continuity of patient care.
