This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Perform continuous Quality Control tasks on a reverse mortgage (HECM and Proprietary) and HELOC pipeline.
• Ensure compliance with HUD and investor guidelines, as well as federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the QC process for both pre- and post-closing stages.
• Manage the selection of loans for post-closing QC, including file delivery, tracking service-level agreements, communicating findings, and collaborating with the QC provider for mitigation.
• Identify loans that necessitate FHA Self-reporting.
• Report compliance risks or issues to Management.
• Analyze outcomes to identify trends and collaborate with Operations Management to enhance processes.
• Summarize and document audit findings from pre- and post-closing, and generate monthly reports.
• Relay audit results and necessary remediation to management.
• Administer external programs and vendors involved in quality control activities.
• Notify the QC vendor of alerts and updates to underwriting guidelines.
• Choose loans for pre-funding QC audits following final underwriting approval, but prior to closing.
• Assist Operations in addressing persistent deficiencies.
• Carry out other compliance-related tasks and assigned responsibilities.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality control, underwriting, or a related field.
• Experience with FHA/Reverse mortgages is essential.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance relevant to mortgage lending, including TILA, RESPA, Reg B, Reg C, etc.
• Capability to apply independent judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
• Capacity to work independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication skills with a professional demeanor in interactions with all customers (both internal and external).
• Detail-oriented and highly driven to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) is required.
