Telehealth Crisis Line Provider

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate and empathetic responses to incoming calls from students who require support or are in crisis.

• Conduct risk assessments and de-escalate crises to prevent self-harm or harm to others.

• Work collaboratively with students to formulate a safety plan and recommend appropriate next steps.

• Initiate follow-up calls to monitor client welfare and promote service connection.

• Keep detailed clinical documentation, ensuring accurate logging of user sessions.

• Provide direct services to students via Mantra’s ConnectNow, offering immediate crisis and emotional support.

• Employ active listening and solution-focused techniques to assist students seeking mental health support.

• In high-risk scenarios, evaluate situations and advise on suitable crisis interventions for students, campus staff, and community resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telehealth, crisis management, or a call center setting.

• Training and experience in assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.

• Capability to learn, uphold, and exhibit mastery of clinical policies, call handling, and operational procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and composure.

• Capacity to exercise sound independent judgment with minimal supervision.

• Flexible scheduling with willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and/or weekends.

• Independent, unrestricted licensure to practice counseling and/or psychotherapy (state equivalent of LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, etc.) — preferred but not mandatory.

• Over 2 years of experience in mental health counseling and psychotherapy — preferred but not mandatory.

• Willingness and interest in taking on additional shifts as needed to cover team members’ PTO — preferred but not mandatory.
