Telecomm/VoIP Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical and project management resource for the support, maintenance, and enhancement of EMCOR’s OnPrem and Cloud VoIP systems.

• Provide support and troubleshoot EMCOR operating company systems to guarantee reliability and alignment with business operations.

• Execute configuration modifications and maintenance on PBXs, Session Border Controllers, and SIP Proxies.

• Diagnose VoIP call quality and termination issues.

• Submit, monitor, and finalize Local Number Portability requests.

• Oversee telecommunications circuit orders, including moves, additions, changes, and disconnections.

• Generate monthly intercompany chargeback statements.

• Offer technical support and guidance to IT personnel within operating companies and business units.

• Facilitate the onboarding of new locations to the EMCOR VoIP network alongside local IT resources and service providers.

• Initiate, manage, and resolve internal and service provider trouble tickets.

• Investigate issues and assess potential solutions.

• Analyze best practices and emerging technologies, including Microsoft Teams calling.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in supporting Avaya Telephony Platforms, including Communications Manager, IP Office, System/Session Manager, and Avaya Session Border Controllers.

• Extensive knowledge of SIP and H.323 signaling protocols.

• Proven experience in supporting an enterprise SIP trunking infrastructure.

• Familiarity with scripting for bulk configuration changes and upgrades.

• Experience in Local Number Portability and telecom carrier management.

• Solid project management experience for new VoIP installations and upgrades.

• Capability to quickly learn new technologies.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Preferred experience with virtual phone systems operating on VMware and Microsoft Teams calling.
