Telecom Estimator – Data Center Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction cost estimates.

• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to create budgets and bid proposals.

• Calculate costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.

• Develop and maintain cost databases, unit pricing, and historical cost data.

• Identify project risks and opportunities for cost savings.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, owners, and construction teams during the preconstruction phase.

• Monitor market trends, labor conditions, material pricing, and industry best practices.

• Participate in client meetings and project planning discussions.

• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.

• Support the planning and execution of complex construction projects, particularly those related to Network Infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in construction estimating.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience estimating or supporting Network Infrastructure projects.

• Experience with commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or large-scale construction initiatives.

• Proficient in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Experience in performing quantity takeoffs and conducting detailed cost analyses.

• Skilled in using estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple estimates and meet competing deadlines.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.

• A background in Construction Management is highly preferred.

• Experience with mission-critical facilities, data centers, hyperscale campuses, or high-tech construction projects.

• Familiarity with preconstruction services, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor management.

• Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, CostX, Planswift, or similar software is preferred.

• Experience collaborating with general contractors, EPC firms, or owners' representatives.
