Technology Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Define and uphold the Technology Architecture and the desired technology landscape.

• Establish standards, principles, and guidelines for technology architecture.

• Outline technology platforms and identify strategic technology capabilities.

• Evaluate the existing technology landscape in relation to the target architecture.

• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and requirements for modernization in technology.

• Create and maintain roadmaps for technology architecture.

• Assess emerging technologies and determine their potential business and technological value.

• Ensure that technology decisions align with Enterprise Architecture, standards, and the target architecture.

• Review and provide recommendations on technology selections for key initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with Application, Data, Infrastructure, Security, and Enterprise Architects.

• Support initiatives focused on technology modernization, transformation, and rationalization.

• Offer technology architecture guidance for significant strategic programs and initiatives.

• Maintain documentation, standards, models, and decision records related to technology architecture.

• Monitor adherence to established Technology Architecture standards and principles.

• Assist with architecture governance and offer recommendations for strategic technology decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar field.

• 10 to 15+ years of comprehensive experience in Technology Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, or related technology positions.

• Extensive experience in defining and overseeing Technology Architecture within large, complex organizations.

• Experience in banking or financial services is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with working in a SAMA-regulated environment is advantageous.

• Strong background in technology strategy, target architecture, and technology roadmaps.

• In-depth understanding of technology platforms, infrastructure, cloud systems, networks, and enterprise systems.

• Proven experience in assessing current technology landscapes and establishing modernization strategies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of technology standards, principles, architecture governance, and technology lifecycle management.

• Experience in evaluating emerging technologies and providing strategic technology recommendations.

• Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture and its interplay with Application, Data, Infrastructure, and Security Architecture.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

• TOGAF or another recognized Enterprise/Technology Architecture certification is preferred.
