Backup & Storage Product Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop architectural strategies and technology roadmaps for backup, storage, and data protection services.

• Lead modernization efforts across enterprise and cloud storage platforms.

• Create highly resilient solutions that support business continuity and disaster recovery objectives.

• Establish engineering standards, governance frameworks, and security controls.

• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.

• Spearhead automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

• Assess emerging technologies and shape strategic vendor selection decisions.

• Manage capacity planning, performance optimization, and storage lifecycle management.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineering teams.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory, retention, and security requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in enterprise storage, backup, infrastructure engineering, or architecture roles.

• Proficiency in enterprise backup and recovery solutions such as Commvault or similar platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of SAN, NAS, object storage, and software-defined storage technologies.

• Experience with AWS and/or Azure storage services.

• Understanding of cyber resilience, replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity principles.

• Familiarity with automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in large-scale global enterprise environments.

• Commvault, VMware, AWS, Azure, or other storage-related certifications are preferred.

• Experience leading cloud transformation or storage modernization initiatives is preferred.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, platform engineering, and DevOps practices is preferred.
