Technician, Staging and Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare gaming equipment for deployment across gaming facilities.

• Deliver onsite implementation assistance.

• Support departmental business plans and strategies concerning gaming equipment staging and implementation.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and service providers.

• Address issues related to gaming equipment staging and onsite implementation.

• Assess, modify, and establish timelines for the department.

• Create processes to prioritize gaming equipment staging and support.

• Assist in the formulation and provide guidance on policies, practices, and procedures.

• Offer technical training and facilitate knowledge transfer.

• Install, maintain, and repair technology and gaming equipment.

• Conduct staging tests and ensure technical integrity checks.

• Communicate product deficiencies to vendors and stakeholders.

• Collaborate as a project team member with Casino & Community Gaming Operations staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recognized technical degree or diploma in electronics or a related technical field.

• 2-3 years of prior technical staging experience or relevant background.

• Experience in the gaming industry is advantageous.

• Demonstrated knowledge of specialized electronic gaming device programs, software, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and contractors.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

• Solid understanding of gaming criteria under the Criminal Code of Canada is a plus.

• Solid understanding of gaming policies as defined by the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch is beneficial.

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as necessary.

• Competence in safely operating materials handling equipment, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and hand/furniture trucks.

• Capacity to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

• Must be at least 19 years old.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
