Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of BCLC casino gaming equipment through repairs and regular upkeep.

• Undertake projects aimed at enhancing the player experience.

• Address and resolve issues related to sensitive player complaints with professionalism and tact.

• Fulfill assigned responsibilities that contribute to a high-performance casino atmosphere.

• Delegate tasks to others in larger facilities or work autonomously in smaller venues.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Deliver customer service and investigate incidents associated with player complaints.

• Implement project plans and ensure the safe relocation of machines within the casino premises.

• Maintain gaming equipment in optimal working condition and ensure operational functionality.

• Keep abreast of advancements in gaming equipment technology.

• Report directly to a Manager of Business Operations.

• Occasionally travel to a secondary location within the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• A recognized technical degree or diploma in electronics or technology support.

• Preferred 3 to 4 years of prior technical (hardware) experience or a related background.

• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be accepted.

• Prior experience in customer service is preferred.

• Capacity to understand and apply concepts of internal controls, verifications, and procedural reviews.

• Ability to compile and analyze information and make informed decisions.

• Proficient in working effectively both as part of a team and independently.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to manage sensitive issues with integrity, diplomacy, tact, and confidentiality.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Skills in problem solving, troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and innovation.

• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office Suite.

• Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts.

• Willingness to work across multiple locations within a designated region.

• Ability to lift up to 25 kg.

• Must be at least 19 years of age.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
