This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.
• Create, edit, format, and publish both new and existing technical documentation related to the manufacturing process.
• Pose insightful questions to gain a deeper understanding of products and processes.
• Actively seek and integrate feedback from reviewers and stakeholders.
• Engage in communication with engineers, project managers, and supervisors.
• Pursue continuous learning about Daktronics products and technologies.
• Oversee multiple documentation projects while adhering to set deadlines.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the quality and consistency of documentation.
• Convert complex technical information into clear, user-friendly instructions.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in English for Information Systems, Technical Communications, English, or Mass Communications.
• Preferred: must be registered for a minimum of 12 credits.
• Preferred: should be in at least sophomore or junior year of study.
• Strong academic performance with an acceptable GPA is required.
• Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be included with the application.
• Provide three writing samples, such as manuals, research papers, or newspaper articles.
• Possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation are essential.
• Comfortable with learning new documentation, content management, illustration, and authoring tools.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
