Technical Trainer – Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement comprehensive training initiatives focused on Copeland’s products and technologies for end users, wholesaler staff, and contractors.

• Develop and update training resources, presentations, handouts, and technical documentation.

• Work alongside wholesaler personnel to conduct on-site training sessions at branch locations for contractors and end users.

• Partner with product management and marketing teams to support product launches and updates.

• Assess training effectiveness through participant feedback and performance evaluations.

• Stay informed on industry trends, technological innovations, and best practices.

• Engage in industry events and trade shows.

• Share knowledge and expertise internally within the organization.

• Collaborate with account managers to create HVACR and cold-chain solutions, including CO2 options, that meet customer specifications.

• Evaluate customer needs and business goals to design customized system architectures.

• Integrate offerings into cohesive, end-to-end solutions.

• Develop technical specifications and solution designs that ensure scalability, performance, and efficiency.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions with contractors.

• Prepare and present solution proposals, which include technical designs, ROI analyses, and implementation roadmaps.

• Take part in internal account planning and identify opportunities for solution selling.

• Assist with upselling, cross-selling, and acquiring new customers.

• Provide support to customers outside of Australia/New Zealand as required.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electronic Control Systems, or a related field in Engineering.

• At least ten (10) years of experience in the air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) industry.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Strong hands-on technical expertise in cold chain and compressor systems (freon and CO2 solutions), including variable and fixed speed systems, electrical systems/inverter drives, controllers, PLC programming, and field troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of oil-free compressor and system development is a plus.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Solid computer proficiency, including MS Office, internet software, email, and Windows.

• Excellent skills in spreadsheet applications.

• Strong planning, organization, and prioritization abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and ability to spot errors.

• Capable of communicating effectively with all levels within the organization.

• Ability to learn and work independently while being a vital part of a team.

• Legal authorization to work in the country of employment; sponsorship is not available.
