Technical Trainer – Curriculum Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the Team Cymru Academy customer education program.

• Create role-specific learning paths tailored for threat intelligence analysts, SOC/IR intelligence consumers, CTI leads, and platform specialists.

• Produce instructor-led training sessions, self-paced e-learning modules, instructional videos, and practical labs.

• Address topics such as threat hunting, investigations, reporting, and automation workflows.

• Construct learning paths and labs for fundamental, intermediate, and advanced levels.

• Ensure training materials remain up-to-date with product launches and the changing threat landscape.

• Provide live virtual and in-person training sessions, including advanced master classes.

• Mentor analysts through realistic investigations utilizing Team Cymru solutions.

• Represent the Academy at customer on-site visits, user conferences, and industry gatherings.

• Manage the Academy's learning platform, overseeing learning paths, enrollments, assessments, and learner support.

• Create scalable content production processes using authoring tools and lab environments.

• Oversee the training calendar, cohort scheduling, and logistics for sessions.

• Establish the operational groundwork for future certification programs.

• Define and monitor program KPIs, learner feedback, product adoption, retention, and growth metrics.

• Report on the Academy's impact to Customer Success and account management teams.

• Collaborate with CTI Advisors, Solution Engineers, threat researchers, Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, with practical involvement in CTI, threat hunting, SOC, or incident response roles.

• Minimum of 2 years in designing and delivering technical training, enablement, or customer education for external audiences.

• Proven expertise in developing technical training content, including courses, labs, exercises, or workshops.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• Robust understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP protocols.

• Practical skills in threat hunting and investigation, including techniques like pivoting, passive DNS, open ports, certificates, and network telemetry.

• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework, the intelligence lifecycle, and CTI operations.

• Experience with threat intelligence platforms, SIEMs, or SOAR solutions.

• Outstanding presentation and facilitation abilities for both live and on-camera audiences.

• Capability to simplify complex analytical concepts into clear, actionable learning experiences.

• Proven ability to construct a program from the ground up with minimal established guidelines.

• Highly organized and metrics-oriented, adept at managing content, delivery, platform, and reporting workflows simultaneously.

• Preferred cybersecurity certifications include GCTI, GCIA, or CISSP, as well as instructional credentials like CPTD.

• Strong preference for experience in administering or developing on an LMS and using content authoring tools such as Articulate or Camtasia.

• Basic scripting knowledge, particularly in Python, is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel occasionally within the US and internationally is required.
