Technical Support Engineer – Lighting Department

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Review and assess RFQs, tender documents, specifications, and project needs.

• Create precise technical and commercial proposals for lighting projects.

• Generate BOQs, pricing sheets, and comprehensive cost estimates.

• Execute quantity take-offs from lighting layouts and project documentation.

• Carry out lighting calculations using Dialux evo (in a supporting capacity when needed).

• Assess lighting fixtures and choose appropriate products based on project specifications and budget constraints.

• Collaborate with international lighting manufacturers (European and Chinese brands) for technical and commercial insights.

• Prepare technical submissions and assist in complete tender submission packages.

• Ensure adherence to international standards and project specifications.

• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of practical experience exclusively in lighting companies.

• Strong expertise in quotations, tendering, BOQs, and cost estimation specifically for lighting projects.

• Experience with international lighting brands (European and/or Chinese manufacturers) is essential.

• Significant exposure to public sector, government, infrastructure, and large-scale lighting projects.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for pricing models, costing sheets, and BOQs).

• Familiarity with Dialux evo, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office is required.

• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a focus on pricing accuracy.

• Proficient command of English (both written and spoken).

• Skills in Photoshop and InDesign are advantageous.
