Technical Solutions Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and develop technical architectures for MES/MOM solutions, Industrial DataOps platforms (UNS), and initiatives focused on digital transformation.

• Convert functional requirements into scalable and maintainable technical designs.

• Stay informed about client business drivers, operational challenges, and compliance requirements.

• Work in collaboration with Functional Consultants throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead the hands-on implementation utilizing Ignition, Sepasoft MES modules, MQTT brokers, and associated platform technologies.

• Configure and create MES modules encompassing production tracking, OEE, quality, traceability, scheduling, inventory management, and maintenance.

• Design and implement Unified Namespace architectures, including ISA-95 data models, MQTT topic structures, and data pipelines.

• Integrate MES/MOM solutions with ERP, SCADA, PLCs, historians, QMS, LIMS, and analytics platforms.

• Execute scripting and development tasks using Python and SQL.

• Lead unit and integration testing, and assist in user acceptance testing.

• Create technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, data flows, configuration specifications, and deployment procedures.

• Assist in commissioning, deployment, and go-live activities.

• Manage technical projects valued under $100K with supervision.

• Collaborate with Grantek India offshore teams and extended workforce partners.

• Mentor junior technical consultants and engage in code reviews.

• Contribute to the development of technical accelerators, templates, and reusable components.

• Assist in pre-sales technical activities, including demonstrations, feasibility assessments, and architecture reviews.

• Participate in proposal development, which includes technical estimation and solution definition.

• Work alongside clients to identify follow-on opportunities within ongoing engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in industrial automation, MES/MOM, or manufacturing IT.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Ignition and/or Sepasoft.

• Experience in implementing various MES functional modules.

• Integration experience with both enterprise and shop-floor systems.

• Strong skills in SQL and Python scripting.

• Familiarity with ISA-95 and manufacturing data standards.

• Experience in data modeling and performance optimization.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of execution discipline.

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and functional stakeholders.

• Capability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

• Willingness to mentor junior team members.
