Technical Solutions Architect – ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the complete technical architecture for the ServiceNow platform.

• Develop and sustain the platform roadmap, instance strategy, and technical standards across various ServiceNow product lines.

• Create technical blueprints, solution designs, and reference architectures in alignment with CSDM and ServiceNow best practices.

• Lead the decision-making process for architectural design and conduct design reviews.

• Design and oversee integrations utilizing IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and ETL.

• Provide oversight for AI-driven and automation functionalities within the ServiceNow platform.

• Establish and enforce governance for the platform, including coding standards, release management, and performance engineering.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and Solution Analysts to evaluate needs and propose suitable solutions.

• Contribute to Statements of Work with well-defined business and technical requirements.

• Mentor and guide developers, administrators, and implementation partners.

• Configure and prototype ServiceNow modules, workflows, and applications.

• Ensure the health and integrity of the CMDB and data model.

• Lead technical validation and testing, troubleshoot complex issues, and guarantee successful deployment, adoption, and knowledge transfer.

• Maintain up-to-date architecture, design, and configuration documentation.

• Analyze processes and platform usage to pinpoint inefficiencies and promote continuous improvement.

• Act as a ServiceNow subject matter expert and trusted advisor to leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture.

• 5+ years of practical experience in ServiceNow design, configuration, and implementation across multiple product lines.

• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of the Now Platform, encompassing ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB/CSDM, and scoped application development.

• Capability to design instance strategy, platform standards, upgrade/release management, and performance engineering.

• Strong expertise in IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP, MID Server, and ETL integration patterns and standards.

• Proficient in JavaScript, Flow Designer, and related web technologies.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication proficiency.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives from design through to deployment.

• Preferred: ServiceNow certifications (CTA and/or multiple CIS certifications).
