Technical Services Specialist, Ruminant Nutrition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide technical support to the ANH Ruminant sales team in marketing Balchem ANH products to clients both domestically and internationally.

• Collaborate with R&D and assist in researching existing and new product applications as needed.

• Represent and maintain the scientific integrity of Balchem products during professional interactions.

• Develop and deliver training materials and programs for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Offer technical assistance for product sales and effectively position products using practical nutrition knowledge.

• Aid in achieving sales and profitability targets for the business unit.

• Prepare and present technical product presentations to diverse audiences.

• Write articles on relevant product-centric topics for both scientific and general publications.

• Foster relationships and communicate with the technical community to build advocates.

• Coordinate R&D initiatives with local and regional universities as directed.

• Collect competitive intelligence and assist in its strategic application by the commercial organization.

• Support Area Market Representatives with key account planning and strategies.

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and equipment safeguards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. or D.V.M. with over 5 years of post-graduate experience; or M.S. with more than 10 years of field experience.

• Extensive practical knowledge of nutrition.

• Capacity to provide technical support for product sales.

• Proficient in preparing and delivering technical product presentations to feed company representatives and industry experts.

• Ability to write articles for both scientific and general audiences.

• Skilled in preparing and presenting training materials regarding products and their applications.

• Competent in contributing to competitive intelligence collection and its strategic use.

• Capable of assisting with key account planning and strategies.

• Committed to following all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE and equipment safeguards.
