Technical Services Project Controls, Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Deliver project controls functions for project initiation, change order management, invoicing, receivables, and administration with general oversight.

• Establish projects in line with client specifications detailed in Purchase Orders/Work Orders or as instructed by clients.

• Manage the processing of change orders.

• Generate cost reports upon request.

• Invoice clients according to established billing schedules.

• Review team member hours against client timesheets, resolve any discrepancies, and implement necessary corrections.

• Digitally file client invoices and supporting documents.

• Upload invoices into external systems.

• Assess team member expense reports for billing accuracy.

• Supervise project costs to ensure compliance with purchase order limits.

• Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A Bachelor of Science degree is strongly preferred.

• No specific certification is necessary for this role.

• Up to 5 years of experience in administration or billing is required.

• Familiarity with and application of company business standards and best practices.

• Proficiency in client billing and timesheet verification.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Awareness of current and potential customer deliverable expectations and preferences.

• Skill in prioritizing tasks effectively.

• Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and maintain confidentiality across all areas.

• Confidence in utilizing business management software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.

• Ability to understand and address the needs of team members.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Capability to lift and carry items exceeding 25 lbs.
