This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Act as the primary technical support for the Sales team, distributors, and clients.
β’ Build and nurture technical relationships with clients to comprehend their maintenance and lubrication requirements.
β’ Perform thorough lubrication audits and assessments aimed at continuous enhancement and measurable savings.
β’ Function as a technical expert on lubricant products, their applications, and associated equipment.
β’ Share field insights with Sales, R&D, and Marketing concerning product performance, client requirements, and market trends.
β’ Analyze and resolve product application and quality issues through root cause analysis in collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality Assurance.
β’ Organize, lead, and assist in customer approval and product development field trials.
β’ Create, structure, and deliver technical presentations and training sessions.
β’ Collaborate with used oil analysis laboratories and R&D to establish and support oil analysis initiatives.
β’ Facilitate product approvals for original equipment manufacturers.
β’ Oversee the product cross-reference database and generate lubricant cross-referencing reports.
β’ Provide auxiliary support to Technical Advisors in different regions and sectors.
β’ Complete special tasks, projects, or assignments as directed by the District Sales Manager.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in the petroleum, base oils, lubricants, and/or specialty fields.
β’ Background in petroleum product development, testing protocols, application-based product development, and performance.
β’ Minimum Technical Diploma in Engineering (mechanical or chemical preferred), or a combination of education and relevant experience.
β’ Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians with pertinent industry experience may be considered.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential.
β’ Strong Safety Mindset with the capability to maintain safe practices when working independently.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of lubricant development, testing protocols, equipment application and performance, and equipment reliability.
β’ Extensive understanding of commercial and industrial lubricants and their applications in rotating equipment across various industries.
β’ Familiarity and involvement in audits of ISO/TS quality and environmental systems, as well as OEM registrations, warehouse, blending, and distribution protocols.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management.
β’ Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and oral presentation abilities.
β’ Strong skills in proactive continuous improvement, initiative, organization, and time management.
β’ Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and independently with minimal supervision.
β’ Must meet qualifications for H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG certifications.
β’ No travel restrictions within North America.
β’ Valid driverβs license, ability to provide a vehicle as per policy, and necessary insurance coverage.
β’ Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) preferred or a commitment to obtaining CLS certification within a specified timeframe.
β’ Experience with SAP and Salesforce is an advantage.
β’ Fleet Vehicle Reimbursement program available.
β’ Home office location in Quebec or Atlantic Canada.
β’ Approximately 50-75% travel required within the designated territory.
