Technical SEO Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the organic search health and growth strategy for two designated categories within OLX’s Horizontals classifieds platform.

• Regularly audit and monitor the technical SEO health while addressing diagnostic backlogs.

• Analyze issues related to crawlability, indexation, robots directives, Core Web Vitals, structured data, internal linking, JavaScript rendering, and dynamic content indexation.

• Examine log files to gain insights into Googlebot interactions with category pages at scale.

• Align search demand with OLX inventory and content coverage.

• Conduct keyword and intent mapping, competitor benchmarking, and landing-page pattern gap analysis.

• Define scalable content or template solutions and integrate findings into prioritization frameworks.

• Identify and resolve page-level and keyword-level cannibalization using Google Search Console and crawl data.

• Develop and implement consolidation strategies that include canonicals, redirects, and content merges.

• Assess post-implementation effects and document URL architecture decisions to align with engineering.

• Spot emerging query clusters, seasonal demand fluctuations, and underserved search niches.

• Utilize AI-assisted keyword clustering and intent classification.

• Evaluate niche opportunity size against required effort and suggest scalable page patterns or content strategies.

• Incorporate GEO and AI search signals into category work, including analysis of AI overviews, generative answers, and category-level content gaps.

• Collaborate directly with marketing, product, engineering, and the SEO/GEO Lead within agile processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of practical technical SEO experience in a large-scale platform, preferably in classifieds, marketplace, or e-commerce with millions of indexed pages.

• Strong proficiency in crawl tooling: Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, or equivalent.

• Expertise with Google Search Console, BigQuery or SQL for log analysis, and at least one third-party SEO platform such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.

• Proven track record in diagnosing and implementing cannibalization fixes.

• Ability to create clear, actionable technical specifications for engineers.

• Comfortable participating in agile product ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog discussions.

• Fundamental knowledge of HTML and JavaScript, particularly regarding rendering implications.

• Preferred experience with faceted navigation, UGC-heavy platforms, or large-scale multi-language/multi-market SEO.

• Familiarity with GEO and AI search concepts, including generative answers, LLM-based discovery, and entity optimization.

• Proficient in Python or automation scripting for SEO workflows.

• Preferred experience with A/B testing SEO changes at the page-template level.

• Must currently reside in and be eligible to work from Portugal, Poland, or Romania.
