This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee technical SEO initiatives for higher education client accounts.
• Conduct technical audits that assess crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links.
• Prioritize issues based on their impact and effort, while justifying those decisions.
• Develop developer-ready specifications and ensure follow-through until solutions are implemented and confirmed.
• Manage light WordPress implementations, including titles, meta descriptions, plugin-level redirects, and schema.
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 for traffic declines, errors, and indexing issues.
• Ensure technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO), focusing on crawler accessibility, structured data, entity optimization, and content organization.
• Design and construct Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, prioritization, reporting, and quality assurance.
• Establish content production systems that convert briefs, client guidelines, and optimization goals into nearly publish-ready drafts.
• Translate team standards into reusable systems.
• Integrate Search Console, GA4, crawl exports, and Ahrefs/Semrush into streamlined workflows.
• Document systems, provide team training, and assess their effectiveness.
• Act as the team's technical SEO expert.
• Participate in client calls to discuss intricate technical subjects.
• Assess emerging search technologies and suggest tools, processes, and workflows.
• 5+ years of experience in SEO, with a minimum of 3 years concentrating on technical SEO, preferably in an agency setting or managing multiple sites.
• Proven ability to identify significant site issues, prioritize them, and facilitate their resolution.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and either Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Strong understanding of WordPress, including themes, plugins, redirects, and schema.
• Advanced, practical experience with Claude, including the creation of agents and AI-assisted workflows.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Capability to take ownership of outcomes across numerous accounts without needing direction.
• Experience with the Claude API or other APIs, as well as basic scripting in Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AI search visibility (AEO/GEO).
• Experience with log file analysis, JavaScript SEO, or large-scale site migrations.
• Knowledge of Grammarly, Asana, or comparable tools.
• Background in higher education or enrollment marketing.
• Fully remote work environment.
