Technical Sales Representative, SMST Northwest

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Promote and sell organic and peptide chemistry products within the designated territory.

• Achieve growth in sales on a quarterly and annual basis.

• Cultivate customer relationships while aiding in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

• Assume complete sales responsibility for instruments and their associated accessories within the defined area.

• Conduct hands-on demonstrations of instruments and related products to illustrate their business value and unique features.

• Oversee and maintain demo equipment and related accessories.

• Ensure customers receive effective training to maximize their use of Biotage products.

• Share responsibility with the Inside Sales Representative for the growth of consumable product sales.

• Sustain relationships with existing customers and identify potential new customers.

• Provide accurate sales forecasts.

• Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.

• Qualify leads, systematically manage opportunities, and document activities and status in Salesforce.com.

• Generate quotes and negotiate final pricing within authorized parameters.

• Deliver timely standard reports and ad hoc information as required.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Work at customer locations and in chemistry laboratories.

• Travel in the field 3–5 days a week, averaging 6–8 overnight stays per month.


⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional verbal, written, active listening, negotiation, and persuasion skills.

• Strong time management abilities, self-motivation, creativity, and organizational skills.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed environment with changing priorities.

• Experience handling complex pricing issues involving governmental and other funding agencies is advantageous.

• Proficient in computer applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce.com CRM software.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience in a chemistry laboratory setting with Biotage or similar workflow tools is a plus.

• A proven history of success in sales and account management is highly desirable.

• Experience in selling scientific equipment is beneficial.

• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
