Technical QA Automation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop the enterprise testing strategy, quality thresholds, and technical acceptance criteria for applications being migrated.

• Create and implement an initial automation framework along with reusable testing tools across migration teams.

• Mentor and coach Cloud Migration Test Automation Engineers, assessing test plans, outcomes, and acceptance documentation.

• Manage requirements traceability, test scenarios, and acceptance documentation within test management systems.

• Incorporate automated testing and reporting within CI/CD pipelines.

• Supervise the technical validation of migrated applications concerning Azure and AWS configurations, connectivity, identity, APIs, databases, performance, and reliability.

• Evaluate technical acceptance packages and deliver Go/No-Go recommendations.

• Provide quality metrics, risk assessments, and trend analysis to program leadership.

• Direct quality assurance and technical acceptance for an enterprise cloud migration initiative from on-premises data centers to Azure and AWS.

• Actively construct the initial automation framework and support QA engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• At least eight years of experience in quality engineering or software testing, including the design of automation frameworks.

• Proven experience in developing enterprise testing strategies, quality thresholds, and technical acceptance criteria.

• Familiarity with cloud testing, particularly in validating migrated or cloud-hosted applications.

• Strong background in enterprise test management, requirements traceability, and automated test reporting.

• Proficiency in building an automation framework hands-on and guiding other QA engineers.

• Ability to tackle increasingly complex challenges, exercise independent judgment, and provide direction and coordination for a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience with Azure and AWS configurations, connectivity, identity, APIs, databases, performance, and reliability validation.

• Experience in integrating automated testing and reporting into CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with Jama Connect where applicable.
