Autonomous Vehicle Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Evaluate issues identified during routine testing of autonomous vehicles.

• Conduct issue triage, root cause analysis, categorize issues, and prepare summary documentation.

• Develop test suites, oversee test configurations, and assist in the operation of test-running infrastructure.

• Assess test accuracy and delve into the underlying causes of inaccurate test outcomes.

• Collaborate with development teams to gain insights into functional design and advancing technologies.

• Create documentation and tools aimed at enhancing issue analysis.

• Gather test data from in-car testing procedures and offer insights regarding software performance.

• Work together with teams in automotive software testing, software engineering, and hardware engineering to enhance product quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A technical education or background in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient experience with Python programming.

• Background in test engineering within a robotics or automotive setting.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Competence in conducting issue triage, root cause analysis, and producing technical documentation.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt in a dynamic environment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams.

• A genuine passion for autonomous vehicle technology and software quality assurance.

• Experience in software testing or development focused on autonomous vehicles or autonomous driving systems.

• Familiarity with creating test suites or managing test infrastructure.

• Understanding of vehicle data analysis, robotics testing, or automotive software validation.

• Capability to collaborate across software and hardware teams within a technical testing environment.
