Software Development Engineer in Test 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, performance, and security testing.

• Lead an AI-centric testing approach by incorporating AI-driven solutions into the quality assurance process.

• Execute and expand Playwright-based automation for Python/Django and JavaScript/Next.js applications.

• Conduct manual testing for exploratory analysis, edge cases, and quick verifications while primarily concentrating on automation.

• Construct CI/CD-integrated testing systems to ensure continuous and reliable test coverage.

• Detect and proactively address gaps, bottlenecks, and risks within automation pipelines.

• Guarantee test reliability, maintainability, and scalability through focused framework development.

• Mentor junior QA engineers.

• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to enhance quality standards.

• A minimum of 2.5 years of experience in automation testing with a robust engineering mindset.

• Practical expertise in Playwright for end-to-end testing.

• Experience in creating reusable, scalable test frameworks rather than standalone scripts.

• An AI-first mindset towards automation testing, including test case generation, self-healing tests, and AI-driven validation.

• Hands-on experience with manual testing approaches.

• Proficient debugging and online research skills.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.

• Familiarity with web systems utilizing Next.js and API systems developed with Python/Django.

• Experience using Playwright frameworks in TypeScript.
