Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the product management team and cross-functional software engineering teams to ensure the delivery of stakeholder value.

• Plan and supervise multiple technology projects in alignment with overall timelines.

• Assist in the management of dependency processes.

• Ensure compliance with PMO governance.

• Lead and oversee projects at an executive level.

• Create project plans that encompass scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

• Manage cross-functional project teams, including engineers, QA, and other technical personnel.

• Communicate with management, sponsors, clients, and other stakeholders about project objectives, timelines, and dependencies.

• Engage in or facilitate ceremonies such as backlog refinement and planning sessions.

• Utilize Agile practices to enhance team throughput, transparency, and collaboration.

• Identify and manage risks, devise contingency plans, and handle stakeholder expectations.

• Monitor and assist in resolving issues as they arise.

• Maintain project documentation and provide regular progress reports.

• Ensure the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

• Collaborate with teams across various departments and geographical locations, as well as with external partners and clients.

• Continuously enhance project management processes and methodologies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant experience.

• 11-15 years of experience, including 7+ years in managing technology projects of increasing complexity.

• Strong comprehension of project management methodologies and best practices, including Waterfall, Agile, and SAFe.

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects at once, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify and address issues promptly.

• Experience with agile methodologies, including Scrum, as well as mentoring and upskilling teams in agile practices.

• Proficiency in project management tools, such as Jira and Airtable.

• Experience collaborating with technical teams, including software engineers and quality analysts.

• Knowledge of software development lifecycles and methodologies.

• Strong understanding of the Life Insurance and Annuity Industry is preferred.

• Scrum, SAFe, PMP, or other project management certifications are advantageous - Preferred.
