This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Assist in the development of technical bids, coordination of procurement, tracking of costs and schedules, and management of documents for steam turbine generation and mechanical-drive projects.
• Report directly to the Head Engineer of the Steam Turbine Group, while also having a dotted-line reporting relationship with assigned Project Managers.
• Facilitate the transition from sales to execution and oversee project kickoff activities.
• Create and manage budget and schedule tracking, deliverable registers, procurement plans, responsibilities, and contractual deadlines.
• Prepare and coordinate specifications, scopes of work, and bid packages across various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and instrumentation and controls.
• Monitor bid dates, address bidder inquiries, provide clarifications, manage addenda, and conduct bid leveling.
• Analyze price, scope, technical exceptions, delivery, and commercial requirements, and document recommendations for awards.
• Oversee requisitions, purchase orders, supplier drawings, fabrication, inspections, shipments, and manage long-lead risks.
• Maintain approved budgets, commitments, actual costs, engineering hours, estimates, and forecasts.
• Update schedules, track dependencies and milestones, prepare look-ahead reports, and follow up on recovery actions.
• Keep revision-controlled documents, transmittals, submittals, RFIs, approval workflows, and project document statuses organized in Procore.
• Maintain logs for changes, risks, issues, and actions, and compile cost and schedule impacts.
• Create dashboards, record meeting notes, perform analyses, verify supplier invoices, prepare customer billing documentation, and forecast cash flow.
• Coordinate punch-list status, supplier documentation, as-built records, manuals, test reports, warranties, turnover packages, final cost reconciliation, and lessons learned.
• Proven experience in industrial project cost tracking, document control, procurement, or engineering project coordination.
• Capability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier proposals.
• Proficient in developing coordinated technical bid packages in collaboration with discipline engineers.
• Solid understanding of project budgets, purchase commitments, forecasts, schedules, and change tracking.
• Strong Excel and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, identify scope gaps, and effectively liaise with suppliers and project teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar engineering discipline is preferred.
• Experience with steam turbines, rotating equipment, power generation, or multidisciplinary industrial construction projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with Procore, ERP purchasing and accounting systems, technical bid leveling, and supplier expediting is preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering and procurement workflows is beneficial.
• Understanding of multidisciplinary equipment and construction interfaces is a plus.
• Knowledge of bid evaluation, cost forecasting, scheduling, and document revision control is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.
• Experience with Procore, scheduling software, and ERP reporting tools is advantageous.
• Ability to access designated work areas and utilize required PPE, with reasonable accommodations available as applicable.

• Periodic travel to customer sites, supplier facilities, and project meetings as necessary.
