This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee all worldwide accounting functions, including consolidation and external financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes to guarantee timely and precise consolidated results.
• Manage M&A purchase accounting, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and costs related to capitalized software.
• Create and assist in preparing board-level financial packages, investor reports, and statements for lender compliance.
• Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, and valuation firms.
• Collaborate with corporate development and the CFO to assess acquisition targets and their accounting implications.
• Direct purchase price accounting, goodwill and intangible asset valuation, and post-acquisition integration efforts.
• Standardize financial policies for newly acquired entities.
• Oversee earnout accounting, contingent consideration, and integration reporting.
• Enhance internal controls to align with private equity expectations.
• Propel automation and ERP optimization, utilizing systems such as NetSuite and Adaptive Planning.
• Manage multi-entity consolidations and international accounting processes.
• Work alongside the CFO and executive team to deliver financial insights that aid decision-making.
• Assist operational leaders with cost analysis, cash flow management, and metrics related to acquisition performance.
• Serve as a key financial liaison for private equity sponsors and lenders.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing global accounting team.
• Build and scale teams that align with rapid growth driven by M&A activities.
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in accounting leadership roles.
• At least 5 years in senior controllership positions.
• Experience in environments backed by private equity.
• Demonstrated expertise in M&A accounting, due diligence, and integration following acquisitions.
• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and SaaS-related accounting, including ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 842, and ASC 350-40.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems; NetSuite is preferred.
• Experience in data-driven reporting.
• Capability to lead and mentor a high-performing global accounting team.
• Ability to build and scale teams that are aligned with rapid growth driven by M&A.
