This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Oversee and produce The Splendid Table program
• Direct sessions for voice tracking and recording interviews
• Produce, assemble, edit, mix, and perform quality control on show segments
• Create promotional materials and distribute audio files along with metadata to broadcasting and podcasting platforms
• Manage the workflows and processes involved in the production of The Splendid Table
• Edit and generate captivating audio and video content
• Administer content distribution systems for the creation of radio and podcast episodes, rundowns, promotions, and file deliveries
• Engage in editorial and content planning sessions
• Uphold high standards in audio/video production and maintain technical expertise
• Keep the production elements library organized
• Collaborate with hosts, directors, producers, Media Operations, internal teams, and external partners
• Provide technical assistance to APM stations and affiliates
• Operate production tools such as Dalet, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, Axia, and recording equipment including Comrex Access, LiveU, Opal, and Riverside
• Address requests for audio files, technical support, and planning information
• Test, connect, and monitor codecs and recording devices
• Utilize digital audio recording devices and interfaces for both in-house and field recordings
• Deliver customer service to internal colleagues and external stakeholders
• Support live broadcasts, podcast production, remote operations, interview recordings, and general studio tasks
• Assist in integrating video production into The Splendid Table workflow
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree or at least five years of experience as an audio engineer or producer
• Minimum of three years of experience in audio engineering or production
• Proven experience in creating and producing radio features, sound pieces, and cultural programming
• Proficiency with computer-based audio technologies and audio editing software
• Computer literate with experience using both PC and Mac operating systems
• Ability to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple responsibilities
• Understanding of various music genres and their applications in radio and podcast production
• Comprehensive knowledge of best practices for radio and podcast production, compelling programming, promotions, branding, and signature sounds
• Demonstrated proficiency in video editing software and production techniques
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and expertise in operating signal processing equipment and digital effects, including equalizers, compressors, limiters, de-essers, reverb, and others
• Expert knowledge of several digital audio workstations, with a preference for Pro Tools experience
• Ability to train both technical and non-technical staff on audio/video equipment and production systems
• Familiarity with audio consoles, microphones, mic pre-amps, patch bays/routers, multi-track recorders, AD/DA converters, and related audio equipment
• Skills in project planning, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting
• Excellent customer service abilities
• Preferred: experience with digital production and content management systems, video editing/production, graphic design, video lighting, editorial processes or journalism, and project management
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available

• Ability to lift audio and video equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
