This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Transform innovative concepts from the design team into tangible products.
• Identify manufacturing solutions in the absence of obvious suppliers or pre-existing options.
• Source factories, workshops, artisans, printers, manufacturers, and other production collaborators globally.
• Collaborate with designers to select materials, finishes, construction techniques, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes, samples, prototypes, minimum order quantities (MOQs), timelines, and production alternatives.
• Oversee the production process from the initial prototype to the final delivery stage.
• Create custom merchandise, clothing, accessories, printed materials, packaging, gifts, event supplies, and unique concepts.
• Innovate ways to manufacture entirely custom products instead of depending on standard merchandise catalogs.
• Assess samples to ensure that the final output aligns with the original design vision.
• Manage budgets, production timelines, shipping, customs, and logistics efficiently.
• Establish a reliable network of manufacturers and specialists.
• Complete a test assignment and engage in interviews with the Talent team and the Head of Design & Creative.
• Residing in the US.
• Proven experience in producing physical products from the ground up.
• Skill in identifying the appropriate manufacturer when the solution is not readily apparent.
• Comfortable reaching out to numerous suppliers, posing questions, negotiating, and independently resolving challenges.
• Knowledge of materials, printing techniques, manufacturing processes, packaging, and production workflows.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to recognize when a sample deviates from specifications.
• Capability to convert a visual concept or a rough creative brief into precise production requirements.
• Proficient in managing multiple suppliers and production schedules concurrently.
• Aesthetic sensibility and comprehension of the significance of specific materials, weights, finishes, or packaging.
• Proficient in English.
• Background in fashion, product design, industrial design, publishing, creative production, or a design studio is advantageous.
• Experience with producing unique merchandise, collectibles, items, packaging, or limited-edition products is a plus.
• Established network of factories, workshops, printers, or manufacturers in the US, Europe, or Asia is desirable.
• Familiarity with garment production and the ability to work directly with factories instead of print-on-demand merchandise suppliers is beneficial.
• Experience with brands that consider physical products as integral to the brand identity is a plus.
