Technical Manager – Platform Services, Mobile Foundations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Spearhead engineering projects for Platform Services Mobile Foundations.

• Oversee a diverse software engineering team focused on developing frontend and mobile platform foundations, SDKs, and integration services.

• Directly manage engineers and steer technical execution.

• Ensure alignment of product roadmaps with system architecture.

• Guide team members in their career advancement.

• Lead comprehensive delivery of intricate cross-functional platform initiatives.

• Coordinate frontend/mobile requirements with Backend-for-Frontend and core services.

• Offer technical and architectural guidance for React and React Native platforms.

• Facilitate architectural discussions and conduct code and design reviews.

• Collaborate with Product, UX, and consumer teams to define technical scope, roadmaps, and integration standards.

• Set forth best practices for testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and enhancing developer experience.

• Cultivate an inclusive and supportive engineering culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing and leading engineering teams, encompassing people management, recruitment, performance evaluation, and career development.

• Practical experience with React and React Native ecosystems as well as contemporary frontend/mobile architecture.

• Proven history of guiding technical projects from initial concept to deployment.

• Familiarity with distributed system architecture, modern mobile architectures, Micro Frontends, BFF (Node.js), RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including roadmap execution, sprint planning, risk management, and resource distribution.

• Strong communication abilities in both Portuguese and English.

• Previous experience with React, React Native, and mobile architecture is essential.
