Technical Manager – Platform Services, Mobile Foundations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee engineering initiatives for Platform Services Mobile Foundations in Brazil.

• Manage a diverse software engineering team focused on developing frontend and mobile platform foundations, SDKs, and integration services.

• Facilitate the comprehensive delivery of intricate cross-functional platform projects.

• Ensure alignment of frontend/mobile requirements with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) and core services.

• Offer technical and architectural guidance for React and React Native platforms.

• Advocate for scalable and robust design patterns as well as technical trade-offs.

• Collaborate with Product, UX, and consumer teams to negotiate technical scopes, roadmaps, and integration standards.

• Set best practices for testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and enhancing developer experience.

• Directly oversee engineers, including responsibilities for hiring, performance management, and career development.

• Propel technical execution and synchronize product roadmaps with system architecture.

• Mentor team members and developers to support their career progression.

• Conduct code and design reviews while ensuring delivery quality.

• Motivate and empower colleagues, fostering a supportive environment focused on wellbeing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in managing and leading engineering teams, including responsibilities for people management, hiring, performance evaluations, and career development.

• Strong software engineering background with practical experience in the React and React Native ecosystems.

• Familiarity with contemporary frontend/mobile architecture.

• Proven history of leading technical projects from idea inception to deployment.

• Understanding of distributed system architecture, modern mobile architectures, Micro Frontends, BFF (Node.js), RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, encompassing roadmap execution, sprint planning, risk management, and resource allocation.

• Excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English.

• Prior experience in React, React Native, and mobile architecture is essential.
