Technical Lead Manager, Developer Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide and nurture a small team of engineers responsible for developing and managing the APIs, integrations, and tools that drive the third-party developer platform.

• Spearhead the advancement and ongoing improvement of the developer SDK and its associated tools.

• Take ownership of the app directory, which encompasses third-party app listings, discovery, review processes, and publication.

• Make architectural and technical decisions across various services while weighing developer experience, reliability, and scalability.

• Integrate technical limitations, partner requirements, and business priorities within uncertain problem domains.

• Mentor and coach engineers in technical decision-making, project execution, and career development.

• Collaborate with Product and other cross-functional stakeholders, representing engineering in conversations with external developers and partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in leading engineering teams, whether as a people manager, technical lead, or Tech Lead Manager.

• Background in building or overseeing a platform, API, or suite of developer tools utilized by other engineers or third-party developers.

• Strong software engineering expertise with a focus on full-stack systems, particularly backend-oriented.

• Proficient backend experience in programming languages such as Go or Python.

• Excellent communication skills with a history of collaborating with Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams to steer technical direction, roadmap planning, and execution of intricate, user-facing platform systems.

• Capability to establish technical direction in uncertain environments and translate broad objectives into actionable plans for the team.

• A successful track record of mentoring engineers and assisting teams in enhancing their technical and operational standards.
