This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide on-site technical guidance to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for turbine generator systems.
• Review engineering documentation and P&IDs for the plant.
• Troubleshoot systems and equipment within the plant.
• Plan, organize, integrate, and manage labor, tools, and materials to fulfill contractual work scopes.
• Perform maintenance and repairs safely on equipment utilized in nuclear power generation applications.
• Meet contract obligations related to turbine mechanical and generator skill sets.
• Direct and supervise repair or inspection processes through electronic communication, references, and documentation technologies.
• Identify, anticipate, and document potential failures along with recommendations for future outages.
• Participate as a member of a service team committed to safety metrics.
• Conduct pre-outage planning and propose or implement policies and procedures.
• Lead the execution and oversight of projects within the TFA’s core competency.
• Carry out project management and technical leadership responsibilities.
• Support warranty administration activities.
• Troubleshoot and address customer issues with engineering support.
• Assist with business needs when not assigned to fieldwork.
• Travel to and from projects and field assignments.
• Be available to work on holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Steam Turbines.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments, approximately 80% of travel time expected.
• Ability to obtain unescorted security clearance for access to nuclear power facilities.
• Willingness to work on holidays, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
• A valid Driver’s License and passport are required.
• Capability to climb ladders and scaffolding, work in high-temperature environments, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must meet Level II core competency skill requirements and successfully complete necessary training programs.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening is required.
• Must complete all mandatory training courses successfully.
• Working knowledge of prints/print reading, manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic drawings is essential.
• Experience and training with GE, Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with and application of EHS policies and procedures is expected.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Proficient computer skills are required.
• Excellent project management, oral/written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are necessary.
