This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver after-sales support and technical knowledge to Elliott’s global clientele.
• Oversee commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and refurbishment of Elliott and other OEM turbomachinery at client locations.
• Plan, estimate, and implement projects under the guidance of a Field Service Manager or Project Manager.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, quality, Elliott, and client regulations.
• Evaluate customer issues, gather and document technical data, and summarize results to propose solutions.
• Suggest parts stocking strategies and overhaul timelines to reduce downtime.
• Perform performance testing and operational assessments.
• Serve as the intermediary between Elliott and clients, ensuring satisfaction and uncovering future sales prospects.
• Lead the commissioning, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and overhauling of both Elliott and non-Elliott equipment.
• Create hazard assessments, safety plans, work method statements, toolbox talks, service reports, and technical documentation.
• Act as a technical resource for customers, colleagues, and field staff.
• Assist with quotation processes and oversee the technical and commercial aspects of projects.
• Provide on-site leadership, managing Elliott employees, client personnel, and contractors.
• Promote continuous improvement through feedback to engineering and product teams.
• Train client personnel and junior Technical Field Advisors.
• Associate level: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for turbomachinery.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects).
• Capability to learn and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schedules.
• Willingness to travel extensively (70-80%) and work in varied environments.
• Intermediate level: Experience with steam and gas turbines or other OEM rotating machinery.
• Practical expertise in alignments, installations, and overhauls.
• Ability to lead small teams and supervise contractors.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities for complex systems.
• Proficiency in creating technical reports and presenting findings.
• Senior level: 15+ years of field service experience in turbomachinery or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Elliott and similar OEM products, design principles, and manufacturing practices.
• Proven project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and cost control.
• Ability to supervise and lead large, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Advanced customer interaction and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to mentor junior advisors and lead technical training sessions.
• Willingness to travel 70-80% across North America.
