Bet Trader – Sports Betting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage pre-match and live sports betting markets.

• Evaluate sporting events, market fluctuations, statistics, and betting activities.

• Establish, modify, and uphold odds and market prices.

• Monitor betting exposure and manage trading risks.

• Respond to live sporting events and dynamic market conditions.

• Detect unusual betting patterns, market movements, and potential risks.

• Ensure the accuracy, competitiveness, and commercial viability of betting markets.

• Utilize internal trading platforms, sports data feeds, and analytical tools.

• Keep track of competitor pricing and overall market activities.

• Manage betting limits and liabilities within defined risk parameters.

• Assess trading performance and identify opportunities to enhance margin and market efficiency.

• Collaborate with Risk, Quantitative Trading, Product, and Technology teams.

• Assist in testing and improving automated trading and pricing tools.

• Maintain precise records of trading decisions and market activities.

• Stay updated on sporting events, teams, players, competitions, and industry trends.

• Strong enthusiasm for and understanding of sports and sports betting.

• Solid grasp of odds, probabilities, betting markets, and trading principles.

• Excellent numerical and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to interpret large volumes of data and make swift, precise decisions.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced, real-time setting.

• Strong comprehension of risk and the commercial implications of trading choices.

• Proficient computer skills and confidence in learning specialized trading platforms.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to remain focused and composed during high-stakes and rapidly evolving sporting events.

• Proficient command of English.

• Prior experience in sports betting, sportsbook trading, risk, quantitative analysis, or iGaming is highly beneficial.

• Familiarity with Excel, SQL, Python, or other analytical tools is a plus.

• Willingness to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays in accordance with the sporting calendar.

• Based in or willing to relocate to Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
