This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Handling requests for elevator modernization and service operations.
• Overseeing the logistics for modernization projects, from the proposal stage through to the equipment installation on the vessel.
• Planning and supervising service engineers and partners involved in modernization initiatives.
• Monitoring the timeline for the delivery of ordered equipment.
• Coordinating the logistics for shipping materials to the vessel or location where the project is executed.
• Following up on sales related to modernization proposals.
• Serving as a point of contact between the technical team, the Global Network (GN) team, and partners to arrange technical vetting interviews.
• Reporting directly to the Technical Manager.
• Collaborating closely with the Technical Team, Vendors, and Field Service Engineers to process quotes and orders, coordinate travel, manage customer relations, and support various administrative tasks.
• Conducting SAP task management and necessary follow-ups, ensuring well-organized and detailed information in SAP and other applications.
• Assisting in the proposal process, which includes drafting formal proposals.
• Preparing purchase orders and assisting with order modifications as needed.
• Following up with both internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
• Contacting vendors to obtain quotes and check on material readiness post-order.
• Helping the team schedule appointments and arrange both domestic and international travel for service engineers.
• Coordinating service planning with service engineers, vessels, agents, and customers.
• Following up on existing and pending quotes and orders.
• Assisting with sales reports and project documentation as requested.
• Verifying expense reports.
• Coordinating expedited activities with other departments to ensure precision in pricing, delivery, invoicing, and more.
• Collaborating closely with technical managers and the global network team to ensure effective management of the technical vetting process.
• Scheduling appointments with partners for vetting interviews.
• Aiding in the preparation of vetting reports and distributing these reports to the GN team.
• Performing any additional duties as required that align with the role's responsibilities.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering.
• At least three years of relevant experience in technical procurement, compliance, subcontractor management, service planning, or a related area.
• Preferred experience in the marine, elevator, electrical, or service sectors.
• Basic technical knowledge to efficiently process modernization quotes and orders.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally SAP Business One.
• Experience in organizing international travel, including visa applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Persistent with a keen attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, follow-up, and time management abilities.
• Capability to read and interpret documents such as service agreements, project scopes, and proposals.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and other standard productivity tools, such as Google Workspace (Mail, Drive, Docs, etc.).
• Open, clear, and professional communication in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
