Technical Consultant – Cloud & Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring accountability from the initial kickoff to the executive readout.

• Take ownership of the project's scope and statement-of-work compliance, establishing success criteria, managing change control, and ensuring stakeholder alignment on outcomes and boundaries.

• Oversee governance and delivery rhythm, which includes standups, status updates, stakeholder and steering reviews, RAID management, and decision logs.

• Proactively address engagement risks and escalations to prevent them from impacting scope, timelines, or client relationships.

• Ensure quality control through peer reviews and readiness assessments for client-facing deliverables.

• Lead a small team of 2–3 members through the phases of discovery, analysis, and executive readout.

• Establish quarterly and annual objectives for team members, offering coaching and feedback to foster growth.

• Manage staffing and utilization across both sold and internal projects.

• Maintain engagement hygiene, including tracking risks, decisions, and version control of artifacts.

• Facilitate technical discovery and analysis across multi-cloud platforms, including platform engineering, identity, networking, security, and application/data domains.

• Generate prioritized recommendations with effort sizing and sequenced roadmaps.

• Convert findings into executive-ready narratives linked to business outcomes.

• Implement AI-driven solutions to minimize manual toil and enhance insights.

• Develop collateral and integrate it into the Rapid Solutions playbook.

• Define and refine the offerings, playbooks, templates, and delivery standards for Rapid Solutions.

• Collaborate with practice leaders to align Rapid Solutions standards with broader AHEAD delivery frameworks and cross-practice initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proven experience in engagement leadership.

• Demonstrated ability to manage engagements from start to finish as the Engagement Lead.

• Familiarity with managing scope, statements of work, change control, governance, cadence, RAID management, and decision logs.

• Proficient in managing engagement risks and escalations.

• Experience in driving quality control through peer reviews and readiness checks.

• Capability to lead and staff a team of 2–3 members.

• Skill in setting goals and providing structured coaching and feedback.

• Experience in managing utilization and forecasting staffing requirements.

• Expertise in technical discovery and analysis across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Knowledge of platform engineering, identity, networking, security, and application/data domains.

• Ability to create prioritized recommendations, effort sizing, and sequenced roadmaps.

• Proficiency in translating findings into executive-ready narratives that are tied to business outcomes.

• Experience in implementing AI-driven solutions.

• Competence in creating and maintaining delivery playbooks, templates, standards, questionnaires, scoring rubrics, and readout templates.

• Proven ability to partner with practice leaders and align delivery standards with broader frameworks.
