Technical Consultant – Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver in-depth technical assistance to functional and technical clients utilizing Huron’s Research Suite software.

• Provide support for Huron’s software via remote web sessions, phone calls, and email communications.

• Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues reported by clients.

• Identify product areas contributing to the highest support demands and collaborate with Huron Engineering teams to address these issues.

• Modify and sustain existing client-specific configurations and customizations.

• Advise clients and Huron Services teams on optimal hardware and software configurations.

• Enhance internal support processes by developing new tools and job aids.

• Work in partnership with multiple teams across various geographic locations.

• Provide assistance with 24/7 on-call support coverage as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. work authorization is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science-related field or equivalent professional experience.

• Proficiency in reading and writing object-oriented code, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, and Java.

• Experience in developing with JavaScript.

• Familiarity with Microsoft software, including Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and Visual Studio.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to work independently and within remote team settings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to switch contexts and manage multiple competing priorities.

• Commitment to consistently work West Coast business hours (8am-5pm or 9am-6pm PT).

• Availability for occasional off-hours, on-call support shifts.

• 1-3 years of experience in a customer or internal software support role.

• Experience in supporting enterprise-class, multi-tier web applications.

• Skill in analyzing and interpreting various types of logs, such as IIS, SMTP, Event Logs, and custom output.

• Familiarity with .NET and C#.

• Understanding of source control concepts.
