Technical Application Specialist, Immunoassay, Clinical Chemistry

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary liaison for Abbott Core Laboratory customers and field personnel regarding the highest-complexity Core Lab instruments.

• Conduct onsite integration and training for instruments and assays.

• Diagnose and resolve instrument and reagent issues either onsite or via phone support.

• Record information in the complaint handling system.

• Frequently interact with customers both onsite and remotely.

• Engage in customer touchpoint teams to enhance account management and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Make decisions regarding reagent utilization and product replacement that impact the annual supply budget for the US.

• Conduct entrance interviews with customers to assess needs and clarify expectations.

• Assist customers in meeting regulatory and validation requirements.

• Tailor onsite training sessions for customers.

• Oversee integration processes to align with customer expectations and deadlines.

• Perform exit interviews, present integration outcomes, and confirm customer satisfaction.

• Investigate issues, identify root causes, eliminate alternatives, and propose solutions.

• Maintain technical proficiency on assigned instruments and relevant job tools and processes.

• Adhere to TAS work protocols for integrations, complaint documentation, time tracking, activity logging, and TOR documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting, field service, or technical support call center.

• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.

• Must reside in the San Francisco Bay area or Salt Lake City, UT area.

• Proximity to a major metropolitan airport is essential.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.

• Preferred: Laboratory certification (e.g., MLS, MLT, etc.).

• Preferred: Over 5 years of relevant experience in laboratory environments, field service, technical support call centers, or direct work with Abbott Diagnostics products, assays, or instruments.
